Happy Easter

Hope everyone had a good Easter. Our first full day on the ocean and we are still floating.  It was a pretty relaxing day.  I took an origami class in the morning and made a paper crab.  We spent most of the day outside on the ship's deck.  It was sunny and hot all day, so we went swimming in the pool.  The movement of the ship made it more like a wave pool.  We also spent some time in the hot tub.  This evening we ate at one of the specialty restaurants were both RoxAnne and I had filet mignon. It was delicious, along with a dessert of baked Alaska using Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia ice cream.  The evening entertainment included music by an energetic blues band and the Mid Atlantic Men, which were three tenor singers. 

Almost 22 hours into the trip and we are in the midst of the Bermuda Triangle.  Luckily no mysterious things have occurred.  It will be 6 more days till we see land again.

We spent most of the afternoon hanging out on the rear deck of the ship.


The ship offered line dance classes this afternoon.  It was enjoyed by many.

    That looks so fun!! Glad you are having a good time!! Cherry Garcia is my absolute fav flavor of DF B&J, but I've never had baked Alaska. We want to see a pic of the crab! Tell mom Annie is good!

We are currently in Glasgow.  It is the most populous city in Scotland with an estimated population of 635,640. It is located on the banks of the River Clyde, in West Central Scotland. Another important river is the Kelvin, a tributary of the River Clyde, and was named after Baron Kelvin, the renowned physicist for whom the SI unit of temperature, Kelvin, is named.   One of the most significant differences between Edinburgh and Glasgow is that Edinburgh is beautiful to walk around and soak in the beauty of the ancient, big city. The End

On April 7th we left our homestead in Dunedin, Florida and headed to Fort Lauderdale.  On the 8th we set off on a TransAtlantic cruise.  Seven days later we finally saw land.  It was Portugal's Azure islands.  We explored the area around the Sete Cidades Crater Lake.  Three days later we saw Spain.  For the next few days our cruise ship stopped at various ports along the Spanish coast, including Cadiz, Gibraltar, Malaga, and Alicante.  These cities had some amazing sights and history to offer us.  Finally on day 15 we disembarked the cruise ship and spent a few days in Barcelona, Spain.  We had a special evening when we met my daughter Kristin and her husband Kane, met us for dinner.  It was totally by chance that they were on vacation in Barcelona the same time we were there.  On day 17, we flew on a plane from Barcellona to Edinburgh, Scotland.  We explored Edinburgh for a few days, then took a train to Glasgow.  We explored Glascow, then decided to explore the rest of the countr
