Food, Fun, Friendship
Another fun day at sea. It was in the 70's again today, but mostly cloudy and a lot of fog. The captain tells us that we are still on course and traveling about 20 knots. The water below us is still about 15,000 to 17,000 feet deep.
We have four more days till we see land, but I'm actually getting used to just being spoiled while on the ship. The food is amazing and the entertainment on the ship is a lot of fun. I had a Croque Madam for lunch (also called a ham and cheese sandwich with an egg on top).
The music on the ship is fantastic. They have a blues band and a rock band. Today we were also treated to a string quartet that played classical music. The one bar has two musicians that play separate pianos while they sing requests from the audience. Amazing talent.
We played music trivia today. They focused on 70's music. RoxAnne and Charlie just about aced it. People couldn't help but dance to the music.
Since the cruise is 2 weeks long and one way almost everyone on board is retired. I haven't seen any children, but RoxAnne tells me that she saw one child. This guy dancing with his wife is 93 y/o.
We also have met some interesting people. One couple we met is actually living in Palm Harbor, FL. Another couple used to own a produce stand on the corner of Tampa Road and Alternate 19. What a small world.
