Bermuda Triangle
Good news-- we are still afloat. Most of the last 24 hours we have been going through the Bermuda Triangle. The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle, is a legend focused on a defined region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean where a number of aircraft and ships are said to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Most of the morning was overcast with fog and a light rain. It seemed a little mysterious and strange, but it seems that we have passed through the area without issue. The captain tells us that we are traveling between 18 and 20 knots (20 to 23 mph). The depth of the water beneath us is around 17,000 feet. I'm glad I didn't drop my cell phone in the water. It might be hard to recover.
Even though it was raining this morning, the ship is equipped with a retractable roof over the pool area. That allowed everyone to still relax in the pool, soak in the hot tubs, relax on the loungers and dine at the tables.
Dinner was interesting tonight. The special was "Golumki" or what we call it in West Virginia "Stuffed Cabbage". It was very tasty, but it was stuffed with ground pork. I'm used to seeing it with ground beef.
After dinner we were entertained with several musical groups that were playing throughout the ship and in the main theater we listened to a very funny comedian from Scotland named Geoff Boyz.
